Ride to Heaven

Another day for heroes, another highlight of PEAKBREAK – The Alps Race. In stage 6 participants will get close to heaven – emotionally but also physicially because the finish line also marks Europe’s highest possible point to reach with a roadbike!
But let’s start from the beginning: After a long approach through the Vinschgau to Meran, the track leads to the Passeiertal. From St. Martin on, the route will follow the trails of the iconic Ötztaler Radmarathon. First peak of the day to conquer is the picturesque Passo del Rombo at theboarder of Italy and Austria.
Following the downhill to Sölden it’s time to face a challenge that so far only a few professional cyclist during the Tour de Suisse and the Tour of Germany were happy enough to experience: the highest travelled road of Europe, finishing at the bottom of the Rettenbach glacier at 2830 sea level.
An absolute must for the plamarès of every cyclist.
